Valentine Bag Toppers

Posted by Devin

I don't know about you guys, but I get bored of purchasing those little box-kits of Valentines for my boys to give away at school on Valentine's Day. You know the ones, they come with punch out Star Wars or My Little Pony cards and stale little suckers or stickers to go with them. No offense to the little box-kits, they're great in a pinch, but I wanted to mix it up this year and make something a bit cuter and more personal.
So this year I designed these little bag topper printables and I'm pretty excited about them. They're not only cute, but you get to pick out whatever candy you want to go in them (and I'm pretty picky about my candy, no convo hearts for this girl!). If you'd like to make some of these, all you need is your candy of choice, 3x4" ziplock baggies, and my free printables!
To get my printables, I have provided two options. The first is clicking on this document and printing it from your home computer on a regular sheet of 8.5x11" cardstock. The printable for this method is shown below and the image is also a link to print.
The second option is to download the following 4x6" images to your computer and have them printed at your favorite photo center. This was the method I chose to use and I was so happy with the results. I saved on my costly printer ink, didn't have to use paper from my cardstock supply, the print quality came out looking fantastic, and I had 50 prints made (which makes 100 Valentines since there are 2 per print) at a great price. I am always cost-aware on projects like this. If it's going to cost a fortune, I'll just buy the generic box-kits. ;) This is what the prints look like when you have them made at a photo center using this method:

And here are the prints with their links to download each:

To download print 1, click here or on the image below.
To download print 2, click here or on the image below.
To download print 3, click here or on the image below.
Once you have the toppers printed, you simply cut them out, fold them in half, and staple them over the top of your pre-filled baggies. Super easy! Have fun passing these out on Valentine's Day this year!

Very cute idea. I love these for a class Valentine. Great way for my daughter to customize the treat -- with something tasty not those boxed sets. :)

I'm trying to print these at Costco photo and they are saying that the resolution is too low? The link you provided gives an image with a 640 X 426 pixel dimension and Costco says it won't print nicely. Min is 460 X 685 and ideal is 1200 X 1788 pixels. Any suggestions? Is there somewhere to download a higher resolution print? I would really like to use these. Thanks!

Hmmm... That is strange since these are the same images I had printed. Perhaps try another store for printing? I used Walmart and didn't have any issues. Or ask for them to override the low resolution warning and print them anyways? Since mine came out so nice I would assume they would again. And there is always the first option to print at home on cardstock. Sorry for the troubles, I hope you find a way to use them!

Update...I printed them at Costco despite the low resolution warning and they turned out cute...thanks! The ones with white background were a little fuzzy but still cute enough to use...thanks!!
