January Blues

Posted by Tara

Hopefully by the title you don't think that I'm depressed. I live in Arizona this time of year, where the weather the last two weeks have been in the low to mid 70's. I am thriving in this beautiful weather! I noticed lately that I have been sporting more navy blue and just blue in general. When I look at my closet, 75% of my shirts are some shade of blue. It is my favorite color and when I get the opportunity to wear blue I love it!

For this post I really wanted to wear my navy blue blazer with a plaid shirt, but wasn't happy with any of the ones I own. This is embarrassing to say, but my 7 year old got this plaid shirt for Christmas and I have been eyeing it ever since! I knew that when he would go to school, I would totally rock it!

Do I always wear my boys' clothes? No. But if they continue getting clothes that I feel I could pull off, I just might continue wearing their stuff! :)

As you can see, I didn't accessorize at all. I thought the shirt was busy enough that I left it alone. With the blazer on I felt like my bracelets wouldn't show, so I did nothing for this outfit with accessories. Sometimes less it ok!

What I Wore:
Plaid Shirt: Target (Junior Boys)
Jeans: Kohls
Blazer: Forever 21
Boots: Ross

Hey, if you can wear it and no one know it's a lil boys shirt, that's all that matters! It looks great on you. Love the whole look and your lip color is stunning!

Sitting here in the Minnesota tundra, I am so jealous of the weather where you are! And the fact that you can wear your 7 year old's clothes. That's awesome ;) This outfit is pretty rad.

Gorgeous! And great style. I can't pull off my kids clothes yet, as my oldest is only 3, but I look forward to a day when it might be possible! :)

It's so silly, but I have like a thousand blazers and never ever wear them. I just don't know how to pull off that casual chic vibe that you are doing right now! I'm so pinning this for future inspiration, haha!

Thanks BreAnna! Yes, I know that not everyone can wear their 7 year olds clothes, but since I stopped growing in the 8th grade (short person joke) I figured I'd give it a shot! lol Thanks for coming by BreAnna! Love Peacoats and Plaid!

Marlen you can throw a blazer over anything.. printed tee, blouse, plaid. I remember being nervous about wearing stuff out of my comfort zone, but when I did, I would always get the most compliments. Try it, and I guarantee you will look fab! Thanks for pinning! Please come again next week! You will love Devin's fashion post!

Very cool, laid back look, and check is so on trend too! I agree re the accessories, as Mademoiselle Chanel used to say "before you leave the house, take something off" - less is often more. Thanks so much for linking up to #AllAboutYou this week, come back on Tuesday and share some more of that Arizona sunshine!
