Marshmallow Monster Treats

Posted by Tara

Marshmallow Monster Treats

Supplies Needed:

Cookie Sticks or Straws
Candy Eyeballs (Wilton)
Green and/or Purple Jello Gelatin
White Frosting (small amount needed)
Red Food Coloring
Chewy Candies (optional)

For the printable tags, check out our Halloween Tags post!

Step 1- Shove straw or stick into the center of the marshmallow.

Step 2- Dip marshmallow lightly in water.

Step 3- Roll in Jello powder.

Step 4- After dried, add eyes using frosting on the back of the eyeball to stick it to the marshmallow. (For purple use Grape Jello)

I know you can buy the eyes that already look bloodshot but I didn't have any in my local stores, so I did it myself. Take a Q-tip and dip it in red food coloring and make lines on the eyes.

Also if you want to add some horns, take some chewy candy (Starbursts, Tootsie Rolls, etc), cut into small triangles, and shape with your hands. Attach them by applying a small dot of frosting onto the bottom of the "horn" and placing them on the top of the monster.

This is so easy, your kids can even do this!  Great treats for up coming class Halloween parties in school!
